Nothing is “useless” against more armoured opponents in vanilla combat because the vanilla armour calculation doesn’t allow enough mitigation of damage even for really good armour against low AP weapons. Anything short of legendary cataphract armour is still gonna have the pawn taking a not insignificant amount of damage from each volley of even a normal quality minigun.

Assault Rifles. Charge Lances are basically horrid, Miniguns only work in specific killbox setups. Assault rifles work on killbox setups, they are better at kiting than Charge Rifles, don't really suffer that much against armor and are reasonably cheap. With a production specialist you can shit out Masterwork and Legendary Assault Rifles very early in the game, and just chew through everything that comes your way.

I survived the void. Got sucked into a void room, knocked down a lot, and was even eaten whole by a Devourer, but through it all I lived to see the void be removed by Silver, by embracing it. What a playthrough. I'm doing my own as well and surviving through it. Looking forward to more playthroughs from you. Wouldn't mind seeing a playthrough about surviving and doing a spaceship launch with the Saurid Mother start from the Vanilla Races Expanded - Saurids mod.

you can also just do this with heaters on 100 C they will be downed by heatstroke and get no dmg then simply open the door and they leave and you get all reputation back i found this out by accident

"what's the best gun" I had to do some very quick remembering of what the vanilla guns even are 🤣 I've been playing with more modded weapons than the human mind can comprehend for like 3 years now 🤣

I found that have a hallway with 2 block wide walls, with 2 block long path at a right angle leading to the door cuts down on the number of enemies shooting into a door. While sandbands and embrasuires give cover to friend pawns shooting at a door. Maybe add in spike traps or ieds in reinforced kill tunnels outside the door. Really don't see why people build these more.

Out of all the endings, this is arguably the best one for your main colonists. You become a count/countess bossing everyone else sround in court, having your own independent colony and basically living forever minus the occasional court intrigue. Ship launch has you enter cryostasis for who knows how long, and you don't have a clue about the ultimate outcone. Archonexus is downright atrocious. You create a mini apocalypse through waking up an archotech.
